Let me start out by saying like many others across many generations, I really love the Beatles. The pure and raw talent the shined through all of them is truly amazing. No band has ever come close to reach their level of musicality and creativity, and I’m sure no group in the future will be able too as well. Their songs are timeless, and John, Paul, Ringo and George will always be on a level of their own, untouchable to all that try.

Since a very young age I have always had a strong love and appreciation for the Beatles. With my mom telling stories of her and all her cousins watching the Beatles US debut on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964 as early teens, to the small poster she had of Paul McCartney in her bedroom, it grew my fascination. Unlike most young girls growing up, I was in love with the Beatles and their music before even knowing popular boy bands like NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys even existed.

Today I find my love for the timeless band growing and I catch myself listening to their songs more frequently than not. With all the stresses and uncertainties that life may bring the one thing that constantly calms me and causes me to take a step back from it all is the music of the Beatles. I could feel like my entire world is falling apart but the moment I put on some of their classics like Let It Be, I Feel Fine, and We Can Work It Out; whether it be at three in the morning or three in the afternoon, it suddenly takes all my anxieties away.

The Beatles have become the best medicine for me when dealing with countless worries and anxious thoughts, and I'm sure it can for you too. And unlike traditional medicine, if you find yourself getting addicted it, it has no harmful side effects. What could be better? So please enjoy my list of the 15 best Beatles songs to listen to for a sense of relief when you feel like your world is falling apart. For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
