As Mother's Day is quickly approaching, it's important that every mother out there gets the recognition they deserve. You are so appreciated in every way possible, and you should be thanked every day of the year. However, in all of our busy lives, sometimes we forget to stop and appreciate how great our mom's really are. Luckily, that's what we have Mother's Day for. This year, let's not forget these thank you's that every mom should hear.

1. Thank you for carrying my fat ass around in your belly for nine months and still managing to stay flawless.

2. Thank you for always picking me up when I fall.

3. Thank you for always finding ways to show me off to the world (even though we both know I'm far from perfect).

4. Thank you for giving me the best life advice.

5. Thank you for never failing to make a home cooked meal, even after a long day at work.

6.Thank you for driving me around to school, practice, and to hang out with friends—and managing to never be late.

7. Thank you for keeping a clean house at all times.

8. Thank you for being in the audience/stands at all of my shows/games.

9. Thank you for being the best alarm clock I could ever ask for.

10. Thank you for never letting me leave the house without a coat so I didn't catch a cold.

11. Thank you for taking care of me for all those times I didn't wear a coat and did catch a cold. (And yes, I know you told me so)

12. Thank you for all the hugs to make me feel better when I'm down.

13. Thank you for always keeping the family in check.

14. Thank you for being the best mom in the world.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom! I love you!

People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
