It's either the highlight of your week or a chore that looms over your head. Whether you're a foodie or not, grocery shopping is a necessity that actually requires a great deal of thought. If you're the list-making type of person, grocery shopping is another satisfying check mark on the to-do list. If you prefer to go without a list and see where your cravings take you, grocery shopping is always a surprise. Either way, it has to be done. Here are 14 stages every person goes through while grocery shopping:
1. Make a list or watch a bunch of Tasty videos off Facebook you know you'll never make.
2. Actually find the motivation to drive to the store and fend off the crowds.
3. Get to the store and realize you forgot your list.
4. Sort through all the produce trying to remember what your mom told you about how to pick out the best strawberries.
5. Move onto the frozen food aisle because that's where all the magic happens.
6. Promise yourself you'll look for healthier foods.
7. Realize it's much easier to buy a bunch of pasta and Ragu.
8. Stare at the assortment of cheeses and buy one for each day of the week.
9. Buy a bunch of Greek yogurt because that will start your health kick.
10. Debate with yourself if wheat bread or white bread is really going to make that much of a difference.
11. Walk past all the baked goods and realize those cookies really are a necessity.
12. Wait in line for the same amount of time it took you to find all your groceries.
13. Applaud yourself for remembering your coupons.
14. Feel accomplished until you realize you have to do the exact same thing next week.
