14 Signs You're A Daddy's Girl

People have always told you and your dad have a special bond. When you were younger, you probably didn't think about it that much. Now that you're older, you can't help but appreciate the connection you two share.

Maybe you've been told you that you look like him, have his eyes or face shape. But, your connection with your dad is stronger than physical similarities. There's just something so unique about your daddy-daughter relationship--because, well, you're a daddy's girl!

1. The thought of your daddy-daughter dance at your wedding already makes you tear up.

Because that moment is one you'll cherish forever.

2. And having your dad walk you down the aisle will be one of the highlights of your wedding.

There is no other man you'd be more honored to hand you over to your husband-to-be.

3. You and your dad have a song.

Your daddy-daughter song is so special that whenever it comes on you can't help but wish he was there to hear it with you.

4. You get his humor like no one else does.

Others might laugh at your jokes, but you two just get each other like no other.

5. He'd do anything for you.

Whether it was staying up until who-knows-when to help you forget the 'monsters under your bed' when you were five or drive an hour to see you in your soccer game, he'd do it in a heart-beat.

6. He sends you texts that make you want to cry.

Sometimes you go through rough days or situations. But, he sends you texts reminding you how proud he is and how much he loves you regardless of what mess you've gotten yourself into. There's nothing more heart-warming.

7. But, he also sends you texts that make you crack up.

He seems to always know when you need a good laugh.

8. He's told you your dating boundaries because he's too afraid to let you go.

"You can't date until you're married."

9. You're not afraid to hug him, no matter who you're in front of.

Because he's the best at hugs, and his hugs immediately make you happier.

10. You're proud to introduce him to others.

He's the coolest dad you know, and you love showing him off to everyone you meet.

11. He knows you can take care of yourself, and it scares the shit out of him.

He may tell you how proud he is of you for being so independent, but he knows the more independent you are the less dependent you are on him. Sometimes he wishes you were still his little girl who needed her daddy to fix her boo-boo.

12. He only wants the best for you, and sometimes that causes you to butt heads.

There are definitely arguments, but it isn't the same with him. You know it's never over something insignificant. He just wants to the best for you, and sometimes that makes you two disagree.

13. There's nothing like watching sports with him.

Heck, you probably wouldn't even like football if it wasn't for him!

14. Saying goodbye to him is the hardest.

But, you know that when you see him again, your relationship will still be the same, and the goofiness you two share will continue!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
