The task of crafting a perfect resume is a daunting experience. What am I supposed to write? How can I stand out from the crowd? You desperately think of any skills you have, and then you wonder if those skills or talents even matter. Sometimes the skills that really matter to us aren't the ones that typically belong on a resume; however, they're vital for being a successful human being. Here are 13 things that you should be able to put on your resume:
1. Your Netflix watching efficiency.
Are you impressed that I can watch two seasons of "The Office" in a week? You should be.
2. Song-lyric memorization.
That's why I sing so much at work.
3. Your alcohol tolerance
4. Your ability to come up with witty comments in conversation hours after they happen.
The boss will appreciate your genius.
5. The organizational skills that come with getting a group of people to and from a bar (especially when multiple Ubers are involved).
6. Resisting the urge to punch that one annoying kid who talks too much in your class.
7. Getting out of bed today.
8. That one time you almost dropped your phone on the cement but caught it in mid-air before it hit the ground.
9. Remembering to call your parents or siblings on their birthdays.
Extra points if you got them a gift.
10. Going to the gym twice a week.
11. Your ability to start a ten page paper the night before it's due and still somehow manage to turn it in on time.
It might not be the best, but it's done.
12. A reference from your mom or your dog.
Preferably your dog, but Mom is always around as a backup.
13. And your SnapChat score.
This addition to your resume would be the key to your success.
