13 Songs You Can Guarantee You'll Hear At Any College Party
Melissa Askew

As college students gear up to come back to school, school isn't always on everyone's mind. I'm not really the type of person that goes to the biggest college parties, I just like to go out with my friends and do something small. But, no matter if you're partying at the biggest frat on campus, having a wine night with the girls, or at some random apartment party with your BFFs, here are 13 songs you can guarantee you'll be jamming out to that night.

1. "Broccoli"- D.R.A.M feat. Lil' Yachty

No matter where you're partying, you know this song is going to play. This song was definitely the song of the spring semester, and I guarantee it'll still be a banger now.

2. "Bad and Boujee"- Migos

'Rain drop, Drop top,' how can you not sing along? This song is definitely one you will be jamming out to this semester at any party.

3. "It Wasn't Me"- Shaggy

The best part of this song is when a bunch of drunk college kids try to rap the fast lyrics...believe me, you'll definitely be one of those kids rapping along to this song.

4. "Bohemian Rhapsody"- Queen

The best 6 minutes in music history tbh. This song is definitely one of the best.

5. "Mr. Brightside"- The Killers

Another throwback tune, but once this song comes on, everyone rocks out.

6. "Man! I Feel Like A Woman"- Shania Twain

This song is definitely one of my favorites that I like to jam out to at parties. My friends and I always scream, 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!'. This song is definitely one that is always played, especially at all country-themed parties.

7. "All Night Longer"- Sammy Adams

'I WANNA GO ALL NIGHT LONGER' This song definitely makes me want to get up and dance.

8. "Jordan Belfort"- Wes Walker & Dyl

No matter what kind of party you go to, you know that Jordan Belfort is going to play. College kids love this song , it's just a fact.

9. "Colt 45"- Afroman

Is this song even a question? Plus, you know that everyone knows every single word of this song.

10. "Sugar, We're Goin Down"- Fall Out Boy

You can never go wrong with this Fall Out Boy song. Everyone can definitely rock out to this song, no matter what party.

11. "No Problem"- Chance the Rapper ft. 2 Chainz & Lil' Wayne

This song just makes me want to get up and dance, Chance is too good not to.

12. "Thunderstruck"- AC/DC

This song, promoting drinking games, one 'Thunderstruck' at a time...

13. "Stacy's Mom"- Fountains of Wayne

This song is iconic. One of the best. Always a jam to listen to.

Going back to school means back to listening to these great songs. Add these to your party playlist, and you'll defintiely make your party the best on the block.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
