Everyone loves the holiday season. It's true; it's the best time of the year. Whether it's Thanksgiving or Christmas, it's a time for loved ones and endless celebration. Halloween decorations are being put away and it's time for spice lattes and gingerbread cookies. There are so many things to look forward to during this holiday season. Here are some things to get excited for:
1. Food. Food. And more food.
Food is one of the best parts about the holiday season. It's ok to eat 5 meals a day and not be ashamed (everyone gains weight during the holidays...embrace it).
2. Spending quality time with family and friends
I don't see family a lot during the school year, so getting everyone together during the holidays is so much fun. Bonding over food and laughter is key.
3. The leaves change color
Walking outside and seeing trees with red, yellow, brown, and orange leaves is absolutely breathtaking. This is when it's acceptable to jump into a pile of leaves.
4. Starbucks holiday drinks
Special flavored drinks make the holidays yummy! Pumpkin spice and everything nice.
5. Everything is pumpkin spice
Like I said...pumpkin spice is everywhere. For all my pumpkin spice lovers out there: next time you are out, get a vanilla chai tea latte and your life will completely change.
6. Lights are everywhere
Lights brighten up the world and puts everyone in a good mood!!
7. The first snowflakes of the year hit the ground
I'm not a big fan of the chilly weather, but having 4 seasons is something not many other people get to experience.
8. Holiday music is officially acceptable
If you're one of those who listen to Christmas music year-round; this one is for you. When All I Want For Christmas comes on, you can't help but sing.
9. The best movies are playing (aka Elf)
Free Form's (aka ABC Family) 25 days of Christmas is bae.
10. Dessert after every meal
Who said you can't have dessert every night?
11. Chilly weather = layers
Break out the cute winter boots and hats. It's time to show off your new wardrobe.
12. The countdown to Christmas begins (sorry, everyone forgets about Thanksgiving)
SANTA! The countdown to Christmas could arguably be better than the actual holiday.
