This past week, the weather was ridiculously nice; being 75 degrees and sunny in the beginning of March was magical, with practically all of Bucknell's campus enjoying the weather by relaxing on the quad, having class outside or going on runs around Lewisburg. The quad looked liked the Jersey Shore on a hot summer day -- people were lounging in beach chairs, lying on towels and playing Frisbee wherever you looked. Students were sitting in groups after successfully convincing their professors to let them have class outside, reading textbooks or listening to lectures while breathing in the warm spring air. I, of course, was one of the hundreds of Bucknellians enjoying the beautiful weather, so I present to you the 12 stages of the first nice day of the year, as told by everyone's favorite snowman, Olaf.

1. Freaking out a few days before because you check the weather and see that it's going to be nice out.

And proceeding to look for every little sign of spring to make you believe it's real.

2. Waking up earlier than usual because you're so excited to frolic in the sun.

You can already feel the sun shining on you through the window.

3. Going to class, but not really paying attention because you're so excited to go outside.

I'm sorry, it's just too beautiful outside to be cooped up in a windowless classroom.

4. Finally going to sit on the quad, but realizing that it's kind of uncomfortable to sit on a towel for an hour.

But there's no way you're going to complain because just look at the sky.

5. Taking dozens of photos for your Snapchat for your story.

With the temperature filter, of course.

6. Basking in the glory of the sun.

While pretending that it's summer and you're home on the beach.

7. Successfully convincing your professor to let you go outside for class.

Cue the happy frolicking.

8. Thinking about how hot it is, but you can't complain because you've been looking forward to it all week.

So you try to picture some cool breezes coming your way.

9. Getting ice cream from the cafeteria because it's unlimited and free, so why not?

Not that I don't get ice cream when the weather isn't warm.

10. Realizing you're sunburned pretty badly.

Oops.

11. Repeat...

12. ...until life goes back to reality and it's back to winter weather for a few more weeks.

But don't worry, it'll be spring before we know it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
