"The Lilly girl is always full of surprises. She lives every day like it's a celebration. Never has a dull moment, and makes every hour a happy hour." - Lilly Pulitzer

Every Lilly loving girl knows that Lilly Pulitzer is so much more than just another clothing line: It's a lifestyle. Here are 11 things every Lilly crazed girl knows to be true:

1. The After Party Sale is your favorite time of the year.

Nothing gets you more excited than knowing the APS is right around the corner! You prepare for it like you're going to war. When the Lilly website says you're next in line your heart skips a beat as you rush to find all the items on your wish list before someone snatches them.

If you hate Lilly Pulitzer, you're doing life wrong.

2. When someone compliments you on your Lilly outfit you feel the need to inform them even more on the brand and print.

"Thanks so much! The print is First Impressions and they're the Callahan shorts, now let me tell you about how Lilly Pulitzer got started."

3. When you see another girl wearing Lilly and you just know you'd make good friends.

Whenever I see another girl wearing Lilly I make it a point to tell her how much I love her outfit.

4. You are in at least three different Lilly buy, sell, trade Facebook groups.

And it's probably the only reason you're still on Facebook.

5. Buying Lilly makes any of your bad days better.

The remedy for a bad day is adding new Lilly to your collection.

6. The expression on your face when someone tells you they've never heard of Lilly says it all.

"No no no no no. Take a seat and let me explain it to you. You can thank me later."

7. It irritates you when clothing companies try and imitate Lilly (cough, cough Old Navy).

Just... Don't. Please.

8. Whenever you travel you make it a point to find a Lilly store.

When traveling it is always a priority to find different Lilly stores (Even a Belk with a Lilly section will do).

9. Finally finding your favorite Holy Grail print in your size had you like:

Each Lilly print is uniquely beautiful, but we still have our favorites.

10. You understand the struggle of loving Lilly but having a budget.

We just work to support our Lilly addiction, and sometimes "forget" we have other bills.

11. You take pride in your knowledge of prints and styles from Lilly.

And you're eager to keep learning new ones!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
