11 Snacks We Loved In The 90s

The 90s were a wonderful time to be a child. There were great games to play outside, tons of fun toys to play with and great cartoons/TV shows for kids to watch back then. But probably one of the most important thing for kids in the 90s were the snacks. These snacks will make you nostalgic for your childhood (you have been warned).

1. The Wonder Ball

The Wonder Ball was the highlight snack of the 90s. Inside a chocolate ball was a wonderful surprise. Usually it was candy tarts or a small toy prize. You won't find this snack in the U.S. anymore, because it was banned for being a choking hazard among children. But hey, we couldn't help it that we were excited to eat our way to the prize inside.

2. Gushers

Very few stores still sell Gushers, but these were another treat of the 90s. Each Gusher had a tasty jelly inside. There were a number of different flavors and combos of these tasty treats. Everyone wanted to trade desserts with you at lunch if you had one of these bad boys.

3. Ring Pops

The next best thing to a real engagement ring, these were the most glamorous lollipops of our childhood. You could wear these on your finger and take it with you wherever you went.

4. Fruit by the Foot

The fun went on and on with this fruit snack. Like the Gusher, very few stores still sell this treat, but it is still available. Anyone else remember eating these right off the wrapping?

5. Baby Bottle Pops

Which other snack made you feel like it was OK to be caught with a baby bottle as a child?

6. Dunkaroos

This was a very popular snack. Maybe it was the fact you could dunk your cookie into a drop of frosting. Maybe it was eating the entire frosting and saving the cookies for later. Either way, this was one fun snack.

7. Push Pops

A lollipop you could push up with your pinky and put a cap on it to save it for later. What could possibly be better?

8. Bagel Bites

Pizza with a bagel crust? Our taste buds say "yas."

9. Freeze Pops

No summer in the 90s was complete without this frozen treat.

10. Nerds Rope

Nerds were a popular treat in the 90s by themselves, but with Nerds Rope having the tangy treat on a chewy rope, what more could we ask for?

11. Squeezit

The hardest part was deciding if you wanted blue or pink.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
