So finals are coming and that probably means that you have about a million things you should probably be working on. But if you're anything like me you are probably going to procrastinate until the last minute and need something to distract you. If you are a Netflix junkie then these are shows that definitely have to be on your list. Sit back, distract yourself and enjoy some of my favorite shows.

1) Friday Night Lights

5 Seasons

If you like football you'll love it and if you don't like football you'll probably still love it. Matt and Julie and Tami and Eric are relationship goals and you won't want to miss an episode. Plus you get to look at Tim Riggins so really there's nothing bad to be said.

2) How I Met Your Mother

9 Seasons

This show is LEGEN-wait for it-DARY. Every character in this show is absolutely perfect and you wouldn't want them to be any other way. Marshall and Lily are one of the best couples on TV. Not to mention, the Ted and Robin saga has you hoping you'll meet someone who would steal a blue french horn for you. The ending has gotten mixed reviews, but you'll just have to watch it for yourself.

3) Friends

10 Seasons

There's no question about it, Friends is a classic. Chances are you've probably seen an episode or two, but this show is worth watching from beginning to end. Ross and Rachel will keep you on the edge of your seat. Chandler and Monica are goals and Joey and Phoebe are just hilarious.

4) The Office

9 Seasons

This is probably one of the best shows that has ever been on TV. Michael Scott is one of the most hilarious characters that's ever been on screen. Every word that comes out of his mouth is hilarious. Don't even get me started on Jim and Pam. This show is seriously perfect in every way.

5) Parks and Recreation

7 Seasons

Any show starring Amy Poehler is bound to be good and this is no exception to that rule. Leslie Knope and Ann Perkins are an adorable best friend duo that can't be stopped. April and Andy are absolutely perfect for each other and probably wouldn't work with anyone else. And if you have never had the pleasure of being introduced to Ron Swanson this is a show you have to see.

6) Grey's Anatomy

11 Seasons

Whether you are interested in medicine or not this show is definitely worth the watch. Besides, if you're a true fan it will lead you to question whether or not you're actually a Cristina Yang and your true calling in life is surgery. There's a McDreamy and a McSteamy and also a Jackson and an Alex Karev. You will find yourself caring about every patient that walks through the door as if he was your best friend. Plus just when you get comfortable, there is sure to be some crazy disaster because this is Seattle Grace Mercy Death.

7) Orange Is The New Black

3 Seasons

If you haven't heard about this show, then you are not a true Netflix fan. Every summer for the past three years an entire season gets released on one day in July and it's a race to see who can finish it all first. This show follows Piper Chapman as she is arrested for a crime she committed more than 10 years ago. She is thrown into an all women's prison and meets some interesting people. However, you might wanna pace yourself when you watch this because we still have three months till we get to see another episode.

8) One Tree Hill

9 Seasons

If you liked Friday Night Lights then One Tree Hill should be at the top of your list. This show revolves around basketball, but there is so much more to it. Some of the things that happen in Tree Hill may be a little far fetched, but that won't stop you from enjoying every minute of it. The Lucas, Brooke, and Peyton love triangle will keep you guessing until the end. And Nathan and Haley are one of the best relationships on TV (even if they did get married in high school.)

9) Criminal Minds

10 Seasons

Criminal Minds is definitely not your typical crime show. This team uses behavioral analysis to connect the dots and figure out who they are looking for. Information like your favorite color or your favorite food can somehow lead them to know exactly who you are and what you've done. Plus Derek Morgan and Spencer Reid are the hottest FBI agents out there.

10) Prison Break

4 Seasons

This show is very Shawshank Redemption-esque. Michael Scofield's brother is placed on death row for a crime he didn't commit, so Michael decides that it is up to him to free his brother. The coolest part of this plan has to be his full body tattoo that is actually a map of the prison. This show starts to go a little downhill after the first couple of seasons, but it is still worth the watch.

11) Freaks and Geeks

1 Season

This show is one of the hidden gems on Netflix. Freaks and Geeks stars James Franco and Jason Segel as the play a group of burnouts in high school. Somehow this show was only on for one season and the ending leaves you wanting so many answers. But needless to say, it's worth the watch.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
