1. Who cares what and how much you eat because hey, it's Christmas!

Christmas is a time to indulge. Eat to your hearts content.

2. Speaking about all that food, who needs table manners eh?

With all that food being served who's got time to be sitting straight with proper etiquette?

3. You have an unofficial license to act like a child again

Christmas allows you to be excited about literally everything going on during the Holiday season.

4. You can obnoxiously play Christmas music all day, everyday

In the house, in the shower, in public; anyone who admonishes you for doing so is just an Ebenezer Scrooge.

5. You can be joyful 24/7 without people thinking something weird is going on

There is something about the Christmas spirit that makes you chirpy all the time! Someone could literally punch you in the face and you'd still be smiling.

6. And despite your scratchy, cat-like singing voice, you are able to sing along to Christmas songs to your heart's content

We all know a guy that insists they can sing and tries to sing along to Christmas songs, but in reality just ruins the whole experience. Nonetheless, it's Christmas, so who the heck cares!

7. It is the time of year where you can excessively spend

Whether you are shopping for your family, your friends or even yourself, Christmas provides a great excuse to spoil people.

8. Wake up in the morning and not get out of bed

Sometimes you just want to stay in bed for an extra thirty minutes, an hour or for the rest of the day. No one's judging you. It is a well-deserved break from being on-the-go 24/7.

9. Watch Christmas movies all day

The best excuse to sit in front of the TV to prime yourself for Christmas and also spend some down-time without being dubbed as a couch potato.

10. Ask for something you want without feeling that much guilt

Being given gifts is not a daily occurrence, but when it comes to Christmas, you have no sense of guilt. In addition, you cherish people for wanting to spoil you on Christmas.

11. Dress your house in an abundance of Christmas lights

There's nothing like making your house a fire hazard one time per year!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
