Well yet again, it's two weeks of hours spent in the library with no Netflix breaks and hardly any sleep. Coffee has become a substitute for food with any substance and it feels like the week will never end. We all need a little influence in our life and where better to get it than from our friends at Seattle Grace Hospital.

1. "When do you throw in the towel? Admit that a lost cause is sometimes just that? There comes a point where it all becomes too much. When we get too tired to fight anymore. So we give up. That's when the real work begins. To find hope where there seems to be absolutely none at all."

Christina Yang says it best. You can make it through this horrendous week.

2. "Your life is a gift. Accept it. No matter how screwed up it seems to be."

Dark and twisty Meredith Grey reminds us to be grateful for this amazing life we live.

3. "There don’t have to be harps playing or birds singing or pose petals falling from the sky… And there are definitely days when the romance is dead. But if you look around, things are pretty amazing. So stop for a second. Enjoy the beauty. Feel the magic. Drink it in. Cause it won’t last forever. The romance will fade. Things will happen. People will change. Love will die. But… maybe not today."

Take a minute. Sit outside. Remember that what's around you is pretty damn amazing.

4. "Did you say it? I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life. Did you say it? Make a plan? Set a goal? Work toward it? But every now and then drink it in. Cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow"

Take risks. Do your best and live in the moment.

5. "You want to be a shark? Be a shark."

Do all that you can and don't apologize for any of it.

6. "Knowing is better than wondering. Waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beats the hell out of never trying."

Some more Meredith Grey inspiration about taking chances.

7. "It turns out sometimes you have to do the wrong thing. Sometimes you have to make a big mistake to figure out how to make things right. Mistakes are painful, but they're the only way to find out who we really are."

Denny Duquette sure knows a thing or two about mistakes.

8. "We spend our whole lives worrying about the future, planning for the future, trying to predict the future, as if figuring it out will cushion the blow. But the future is always changing. The future is the home of our deepest fears and wildest hopes. But one thing is certain when it finally reveals itself. The future is never the way we imagined it."

Don't overplan or overthink. Life is all about twists and turns.

9. "We lose those battles as often as we succeed. The key, though, win or lose, is to never fail. And the only way to fail is not to fight. So fight until you can't fight anymore. Never let go. Never give up. Never run. Never surrender. Fight the good fight, you fight even when it seems inevitable you're about to go down swinging."

Everything is worth the fight, so fight.

10. "Don't let what he wants eclipse what you need. He's very dreamy, but he's not the sun. You are!"

You are the sun. Do not let anyone eclipse you, no matter what the circumstance is.

11. "Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature. Be better than anyone here and don't give a damn about what anyone thinks."

Thank you Yang for giving us a mantra to recite everyday.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
