You know, I really am sorry to break it to you... but you've probably been missing out all these years. All of those mornings where you sat around the table eating those chocolate chip/blueberry or God forbid plain waffles you probably thought to yourself "how could breakfast get any better?" Well dear reader I'm about to change all of the morning/afternoon/evening meals you will eat in the future. What if I told you waffles aren't the only food you can make in a "waffle iron"? I have put together a list of 11 things you can whip up in your waffle iron, and blow your kids/guests/friends... really anybody's mind. Hope you enjoy!

(Oh yeah, and just a helpful reminder, to alwaysmake sure to use some sort of nonstick spray before anything goes into the iron--trust me been there done that!)

1. For the traditional breakfast person:

Waffled eggs! Don't be shy with the ingredients you add to your eggs. Not going to lie, I even add hot sauce to mine to give them some kick!

2. To go with your eggs:

Waffled bacon. Just clean iron afterwards because, you know, bacteria.

3. For the lunch lover:

A waffled cheeseburger! I like to put the buns in so it is extra crunchy.

4. For the cheese lover:

Waffled quesadilla! One of my favorite meals to make in the iron! (I like to add chicken breast as well)

5. For the Italian food lover:

Waffled pizza pockets! Fold pepperoni and cheese into biscuit dough and let the iron do the rest!

6. For the seafood lover:

Waffled crab cakes! Just make sure to wash thoroughly after.

7. For the chip lover:

Waffled tortilla chips! Cut strips of your favorite flour tortillas and leave in the iron until crispy.

8. For the chocolate lover:

Waffled brownies! Okay, for all of you chocolate lovers out there, this is the real deal. (My only advice for this one is to make sure the batter is thick enough and not too runny.)

9. For the salt lover:

Waffled soft pretzels. Auntie Anne’s…who? (Perfect salty snacks without even leaving your home!)

10. For the potato lover:

Waffled hash browns! All you have to do is wait for your frozen tater tots to thaw and place them on the iron to cook. That easy!

11. For those of you with the sweet tooth:

Waffled cinnamon rolls! This is definitely my guilty pleasure when fruits just don’t cut it.

Enjoy!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
