Greenville is home to approximately home to 61,397 citizens. It's the definition of a little big town. It's huge but also feels so little. You're bound to run into someone you know everywhere you go, and we all share common experiences.
10. You still call the "Bon Secours Wellness Arena", "The Bi-Lo Center"
I honestly still get confused when people say "The Bon Secours," and it's usually people who aren't from Greenville who call it that. Us Greenville citizens know it'll always be "The Bi-Lo Center."
9. Feeling like no artist know Greenville exist.
It's always an exciting feeling when your favorite artist/band goes on tour. Unless if you're from Greenville, SC. We always know we're going to have to travel to Georgia or North Carolina. #RoadTrip
8. Hawk N' Tom are celebrities to you.
Don't worry I didn't forget about Heidi or Kato either. These four honestly make our morning on the way to work or school a little bit more enjoyable. I remember one time Heidi came to our pep rally and we went crazy. You would have thought Justin Bieber walked in.
7. The ending of Freedom Weekend Aloft was upsetting
I'm honestly still mourning the loss. Freedom Weekend Aloft was like our Coachella. It had awesome rides and amazing artist. I actually saw Gavin Degraw and Cobie Caillat for 15 dollars there. #BringItBack6. The Cheesecake Factory was a big deal
There were rumors circulating about The Cheesecake Factory for years. Then finally our dreams became reality on May 31st, 2016. The line was so unbelievable long, you would have thought people in Greenville never had cheesecake before.5. Haywood Mall is crawling with pre-teens
I love Haywood Mall, but every time I go I feel uncomfortably old. I always see pre-teens running around everywhere in crop tops, snapbacks and skinny jeans.
4. 90% of the time you will run into someone you know
You would think since there are over 50,000 people in this city. You would hardly run into people you know but you're so wrong. I couldn't tell you how many times I ran into someone just to get one thing from the store.
3. Downtown Greenville is food heaven
Downtown Greenville has a lot of amazing things to do, but lets face it; unless there is something going on downtown you're going to eat something. Whether it's ice cream from Marble Slab or Spill The Beans or pizza from Mellow Mushroom, you're stuffing your face downtown. Hey, don't worry though you'll walk it all off by walking to your parking space, because we all know the free parking is way too far from where you're going sometimes.
2. Knowing to stay away from Woodruff Road
You know that you don't go on to Woodruff Road unless you have to. It's always 5'O'clock traffic on that road even if it's not 5. You would think they would start building stuff on that road, but they wont. Soon they'll start building buildings on top of each other.
1. You'll always love the 864 not matter where you go
You know no matter where you go, you'll always remember the 864. You know what they always say is home is where the heart is.
