Watching "Chrisley Knows Best" is one of my guilty pleasures, but the Chrisleys are much more than a hilarious, eccentric family. Here are some pearls of wisdom you can gain from watching the Chrisley family, along with a good laugh.

1. Don't leave your oldest son in charge when you go out of town.

This never turns out well.

2. If you don't like a food, say you are allergic.

Todd Chrisley always knows how to graciously refuse food.

3. Marry someone who is good at throwing a party - they can plan their own birthday!

What would Todd do without Julie?

4. Gain your parents' trust to avoid your grandma chaperoning your date.

But in the end, you have to admit Nanny Faye is a pretty cool grandmother.

5. Learn to appreciate hard work, or risk being sent to work on a farm like Chase and Savannah.

Not really Todd's cup of tea!

6. Always learn how to read a map in case your dad takes your phone away.

Or chucks it in the water... Todd really means it when he says no phones!

7. If you're at a loss for a gift idea for your dad, raid his closet and look for things that still have a tag on them.

In the end, you know he'll love whatever you get him. It's the thought that counts, right?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
