Rated in order of absolute favorite to still a win, here are my top 10 favorites!

1. Sal's in Mamaroneck

Even in the middle of a pandemic, Sal's still had a line halfway down the block.

Everything from Sal's is a win, their regular pizza, the Sicilian or any topping slices. For my family, Sal's is about 20 minutes away and definitely worth the hike!

Their pizza is thick and soft yet crunchy. The crust is crunchy and their cheese to sauce ratio is perfect and the pizza just melts in your mouth. If you live in Westchester and haven't tried Sal's, you're really missing out.

2. Lombardo's in White Plains

Lombardo's is great for both pizza and pasta dishes. They make a mean penne alla vodka.

Their pizza is thin and delicious and also melts in your mouth.

3. Polpettina's in Eastchester

Polpettina's is a very cute and trendy kind of place and their pizza is phenomenal.

My favorite is their pepperoni. Polpettina's pizza is a bit on the thinner side, but still melts in your mouth and is so satisfying.

4. Scarsdale Pizza Station

Scarsdale pizza station is great for a quick grab and go slice and they make a mean calzone. Their slices are huge and on the thinner side!

5. Amore Pizza in Scarsdale

Amore is another great quick grab and go kind of place and my favorite of theirs is the buffalo chicken slice.

6. Raceway Pizza in Yonkers

www.google.com

Raceway is the pizza I grew up eating and has a very nostalgic taste for me. That being said, it's an amazing place for pizza and Italian ice.

Their pizza is in the perfect middle between thin and thick and the crust has the perfect crunch.

7. Happy Day's Pizza in ScarsdaleĀ

Happy Day's is another nostalgic place for me because it was the place my friends and I walked to after middle school. Their pizza is on the thicker side and they make a mean chicken roll. They're a very cute hole in the wall shop and great for a quick grab and go.

8. Italian Village in Scarsdale

www.google.com

Having recently gone under renovation, Italian Village is back and bigger! They make amazing topping slices and are also great for pasta dishes. Their pizza is thin with the perfect crunchy crust.

9. Deanna's in New Rochelle

Deanna's was my after high school hangout spot with friends and I can confidently say that I've tried pretty much every topping slice they have. Their slices are huge and hefty!

Burrata is more of a sit down kind of place and the menu features mini personal pies. Their pizza is thin and crunchy and a great place to get dinner and catch up with friends.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast ā€œBirthdayā€ on anyoneā€™s birthday. I knew all of the words to ā€œBack In The U.S.S.Rā€ by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. Iā€™m not someone to ā€œfangirlā€ but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
