10. Miller Park

The home of the Milwaukee Brewers is a must-see location. The racing sausages, the tailgating, and Hank the ballpark dog are all traditions for the Brewers.

9. Atwater Beach

Located in north Milwaukee in Shorewood, this Lake Michigan beach is truely unique. A steep cliff covered by huge stairs lead down to the clean, pretty waterfront.

8. Bangles and Bags

This adorable boutique is located in the Third Ward on North Broadway, just around the corner from Milwaukee School of Art & Design. Reasonably priced and trendy accessories make this store a favorite of mine.

7. Cafe Benelux

Also located in the Third Ward, Benelux is a European restaurant that has spectacular breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes. Their panakuken (basically German crepes) are to die for.

6. Milwaukee County Zoo

A personal favorite spot of mine, because who doesn't love adorable animals? Milwaukee County Zoo is pretty big and located in Wawatosa, just off of Highway 100 and Bluemound.

5. McKinley Marina

McKinley Marina is located on Lincoln Memorial Drive near the art museum, and is a favorite spot of mine in the summer and spring. The long cement pier that stretches into Lake Michigan is enjoyable to walk on no matter what the weather, and gives you a great view of downtown Milwaukee from Lake Michigan.

4. Collectivo Coffee - Lakefront Cafe

Collectivo coffee has branches throughout Milwaukee and the surrounding counties, but the best location by far is also on Lincoln Memorial drive, right across from McKinley Marina. The building is quite old and the interior is as special as the exterior. I love sitting in a chair outside on a sunny day, and looking out at Lake Michigan.

3. Bradford Beach

Another favorite location of mine on Lincoln Memorial Drive is a busy place during the summer. Bradford Beach is a major hang out spot for teens & young adults along Lake Michigan.

2. Milwaukee Public Market

One of the most famous locations in Milwaukee has to be the Public Market. The variety of vendors and food choices make every single trip to the market fun.

1. Summerfest

Arguably my favorite place in the entire world, and the world's largest music festival. If you're reading this, go to Summerfest! I love living near Milwaukee for many reasons, especially Summerfest.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
