Jane Austen has written the best novels in the world: "Pride and Prejudice," "Northanger Abbey," "Mansfield Park," "Emma," "Persuasion," and "Sense and Sensibility." I have also read "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" by Seth Grahame-Smith. And no, that book doesn’t ruin "Pride and Prejudice." It’s actually a great parody novel. I can’t wait for the motion picture next year. I have seen every movie adaptation of her books, and out of all of them, I loved the 2005 version of "Pride and Prejudice" best. The following are reasons why it's my favorite movie in the world.
1. Mr. Darcy.
Isn't he dreamy? Matthew Macfadyen captures the personality of Mr. Darcy perfectly.
2. It has a strong and famous cast.
Keira Knightley, Rosamund Pike, Jena Malone, Carey Mulligan, Donald Sutherland, Brenda Blethyn, Matthew Macfadyen, and Simon Woods. They are all amazing actors and actresses.
3. It has a beautiful soundtrack composed by Dario Marianelli.
I listen to it all the time.
4. Keira Knightley is on point.
She perfectly portrays the opinionated, witty, and sociable Elizabeth Bennet.
5. The movie was filmed at beautiful locations.
Yes, I want to live in Pemberley too.
6. It makes me want to dance like it's the 19th century.
7. The script is dramatic, humorous, and romantic.
Every time I watch it (I have watched it at least 50 times already), I catch new humorous parts.
8. Lastly, the movie makes me want to live at Austenland more than anything in the world.
"Pride & Prejudice" entertains me from start to finish. It is a delightful, magnificent movie, perfectly capturing the essence of Jane Austen’s classic novel.
