The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

So... I know that it's not even Halloween yet, but I'm going to be that person. That's right... It's almost Christmastime! There are 77 days left until Christmas (as of October 8)! I am so freaking excited and here is why:

1. Everyone is happy!

How can you not be happy at Christmastime? It's the most joyful time of the year!

2. The lights are beautiful.

Christmas lights are the absolute best! They light up the towns, and show Santa what houses to bring all of the presents to!

3. Um, hello, presents!

Whether it's giving presents, or receiving them, Christmas is a time to get closer to the people you love, and to receive a bunch of materialistic awesome stuff!

4. Peppermint EVERYTHING.

Peppermint is truly the best of all flavors of candy, and candy canes are my personal crack.

5. Cheesy Christmas movies

Christmas movies are some of the cheesiest movies ever (here's looking at you Hallmark), but they really do put you in the spirit, and they're also pretty darn cute.

6. The food is pretty amazing

Hello, Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day brunch. Ham, eggs, casseroles, and all the works are always present on my family's table during Christmas.

7. Family time

You finally get to spend some time with your family, and it's so great to get to see your extended family, even your not-so-cuddly drunk uncle.

8. Snow

I don't know about you, but I love snow. I know, it's weird coming from someone who sees it all of the time, but looking out your window and seeing the snow illuminated by the Christmas lights is something that I want etched in my brain forever.

9. Santa Claus (aka the best jolly old guy ever)

He's a jolly old soul, and brings you presents in exchange for cookies. He truly lives the life that I aspire to live. Santa Claus is my idol.

10. The magical feeling you get

During Christmastime, there's a certain feeling that you get that can't be recreated for any other holiday. Maybe it's a feeling of unity with others that celebrate the holiday, or maybe it's just because you're so excited, but Christmas truly is the most magical holiday of them all.
