We've all heard the story of "girl meets boy," but what about when "girl meets girl"?

I am talking about the moment when you realize you are good friends with someone. Whether it be at the lunch table because they shared their Lunchable with you or suffering through that horrible professor together, or even the "you make my job fun" friend. Basically the Christina to your Meredith or the Brooke to your Peyton.

Best friends make the world a little brighter on the Monday morning that makes you want to give up and lay in bed, eating whatever scraps you have left over from the weekend. They fill in the holes that boys have broken. They are the bridesmaids before the husbands are actually found.

But, what happens when this best friend gets another best friend? We all have this fear that someone is going to figure out how awesome your friend is and steal them from you, and that would really suck.

It does happen, though, and you have to spend that Monday morning as a third wheel. You become the second pick in the litter. There are many stages that you go through when this happens (and it will happen).

1. "Sorry, I can't, I'm getting lunch with my new BFF."

She may not have said this in those words, but this is how you heard it. It finally happened. Their schedule isn't open 24/7 to you, so now you have to watch Netflix by yourself.

2. When she acts like a better BFF than you.

You have always known the little facts about them and the boys they liked, but then that day comes where you can honestly say you don't really know what her new BFF is talking about. You try to recover with a "Yeah, I know," but in reality, you totally don't.

3. "I'm not even her best friend anymore."

And then you vent to your other friends that you don't even know what's going on in her life, or even who she is anymore.

4. So then you get a new best friend.

So then you start going out and meeting new friends, but like, how do you do that when you're 20 and your greatest quality is that you know how to take a 20-minute nap anywhere?

5. I guess maybe we can all three be friends.

Well, I guess if my BFF is friends with you, then maybe you can be my friend, too.

6. Either way, we can all jam in the wedding together.

Even though you have a new bestie, I know you'll always love me. Just don't forget about me (especially when you get a boyfriend)

7. I'll just enjoy my "new BFF."

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
