When you start thinking about summer, all you can think is that it is going to be a whole lot of this ...

However, that is not the case because you realize that your bank account is completely depleted. Therefore, you must get a job to have sufficient funds for your summer activities. So naturally, the first thing that comes to mind is this.

The feeling of how terrible this experience may be starts to hit you. You have come to the conclusion that being emplyed is unavoidable. Otherwise, how on earth are you going to enjoy your summer?

However, you put it off. I mean let's face it, you have much more important things to focus on. You have Netflix, #tbt on Instagram, and Facebook on the weekends. There is just no time. However, your parents are in you face and you realize that you finally need to get it started.

When you start applying, you feel confident. First thing you're thinking is it will be easy. Then you start getting calls back, to which they tell you you didn't get the job.

I know, it is bogus. You are so much more qualified than this. These companies don't care about getting you a job for two and half months. They want to take the 55-year-old man who has only a diploma and is going to be there for the long run.

You realize you can do better, but then again summer is coming. So you keep applying and finally you get an interview.

You're excited. But not as much as your parents. Your parents are relieved to know that your summer will be more than watching all nine seasons of The Office(even though you will probably do that anyway).

That's off topic though. Point is you got the interview. Now what? You're nervous because after all this time, you realize if you nail this interview you no longer have to worry about money or your parents hassling you. So what you do during you interview?

You go with the flow, baby. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there. You have to do whatever it takes to get that job. Now that you have thrown all out the window, a whiff of good news comes your way. YOU GOT THE JOB!!! Now you're starting next week. So you roll up for your first day.

Walking out the door. Dressed to the nines, baby. Looking fresh. Got the car music cued to "Making Money Swag." You realize since you nailed that interview, the first day can't phase you. You're real MVP ... but then you get done with your first day.

Yeah ... it's harder than you thought, but you know what, it is okay! You're going to be okay because you're making money. After your first week, your parents ask you if you're saving your money ...

Nice try mom. I got better things to do with my money ...

Gonna spend it! Mariners tickets, Watershed, anything other than school ... you name it!! You're doing everything to make it through this rough time of $9.37 an hour of meaningless work. Actually, it is so unimportant that once you've made your money for the summer, you give your boss a call ...

It's just how it works. Your education was just far too important to stay at that job. Your boss is probably pissed, but you tell it to him straight, "Bro I'm 20 years old, Taco Bell is not my dream job."

Summer jobs are important, but at the end of the day, the point is just to make your money and get out. Hopefully, you made the money that you needed to make over the summer and had some fun. Now it's time to head back to school..
