There is just something about a person who enjoys a cup of coffee. Whenever I find someone who has this same love for the one thing I can't go a day without, I immediately want to get to know them. Coffee says a lot about a person, but it's not really the coffee that makes the person great -- it's what the coffee stands for.
Coffee is your focus. Life can get pretty hectic, and sometimes a cup of caffeine will do more for you than a power nap ever will. If you are one of those people who drinks their coffee black because you simply "don't have time" to bother with any of the extras -- I applaud (and admire) you.
Coffee is your routine. Coffee provides a calming rhythm to your day. There is nothing like brewing your favorite roast in your special mug, reading the news, and planning out your day. It adds some much needed peace and sanity to your life.
Coffee is home. Whenever I am back home for breaks, the little things make me the happiest. I always find the same mug that I used in high school, sit in my family room and spend time with the people who mean the most to me.
Coffee is comfort. The familiar smell of a hazelnut roast brewing and the feel of your mug warming up your fingertips take you back to your happy place.
Coffee is warmth. When you are freezing cold from some last minute cold weather before spring fully blooms, there is nothing more perfect than holding a deliciously warm mug of coffee. You'll be warmed up in no time.
Coffee is friendship. Catching up with friends has a whole new meaning when coffee is passed around the table. Somehow conversation flows easier when the conversation is interrupted by sips of coffee.
So cheers to all of you incredibley cool coffee drinkers.
