Well it's that time of year again, the rainy season. Here at Villanova, we affectionately tell everyone that, at our lovely school, the skies open up and it rains every Tuesday. But what happens when it rains on a day that isn't Tuesday? So, you walk out of your 10:30 class in sandals and shorts because when you left the room this morning, it was 75 degrees and you could actually see the sun. Now, however, its 11:30, the sun is hiding, and the sky has opened up. You stare out the doors of the building where you just had class and contemplate how to stay dry has you walk through the literal hurricane back to your room.
1. You have GOT to be kidding me? It was 75 and sunny a second ago!
2. And I wore my nice shoes.
3. Oh wait I have a sweatshirt!
4. No I don't...
5. Because IT WAS 75 DEGREES THIS MORNING
6. Okay okay. Maybe if I stand here long enough the rain will just stop.
7. Ooo! Or I'll see someone I know with an umbrella!
8. Who am I kidding?
9. No one has an umbrella because NO ONE was prepared for Mother Nature to cry on us today!
10. I guess it's time to leave now...
11. On 3
12. One...
13. Two..
14. Three!
15. Just kidding not yet
16. Crap I'm hungry.
17. I guess I have to leave now...
18. Here goes nothing
19. And my feet are wet
20. Now my hair is wet
21. And that's it. Every part of me is wet.
22. So much for straightening my hair today
23. RUN!
24. Wait wait don't slip don't slip
25. Phew made it to my building...
26. Aaannnd my wildcard is in my backpack
27. Oh thank goodness this person will let me in.
28. Made it!
29. But not a single part of me is dry
You've now made it back to your building only to realize it's lunchtime and the dining hall is in the other direction. Good luck, don't forget to look for the rainbow, and may you always be prepared for the rain!
