FOOD. FOOD. FOOD. Why I am so excited to be back in Nashville!

Let's be honest, the only thing better than the music in Nashville, is the food.

With move-in complete and the classes starting I thought it was only appropriate to tell y'all the number one reason I couldn't be more excited to be back at Vanderbilt and back in Nashville. The food.

After being away from Nashville for an entire summer I could think of no better way to celebrate my return than visiting ALL of the restaurants that I craved over the summer. With an array of dinners, drive-ins, and dives Nashville is a food lovers paradise. Here a few of my all time favorite Nashville restaurants and why you should check them out.

The Pharmacy Burger Parlor & Beer Garden

Voted Nashville's #1 Burger in 2013, The Pharmacy Burger Parlor & Beer Garden is definitely a place you want to visit. With burgers to fit all tastes, prices to fit all budgets and a cool atmosphere The Pharmacy Burger Parlor & Beer Garden is a great choice when deciding on a place to visit on a Friday night.

Chuy's

Chances are that if you go to Vanderbilt then you have a love affair with Chuy's. With it's amazing chips and queso and it's proximity to campus Chuy's is the best place to visit  before heading out and exploring Broadway on a Saturday night with friends!

Fido

If you are looking for somewhere to go for brunch on a Sunday afternoon, Fido is the place for you. Only a short walk from campus nothing should stop you from getting to Fido for brunch on the weekend. While its not on the card Fido's breakfast menu is served all day, making it the perfect place to spend all day eating, catching up with friends and studying. The menu includes simple items like pancakes and bagels to their amazing "Smoked Salmon Scrabble" ensuring that everyone can find something they love at Fido.

We all know that Nashville is music city but this city also has plenty of local restaurants to choice from and the ones that I mentioned are only just a few! In order to get the most out of your time at Vanderbilt and in this amazing city I recommend going out and trying as many of the local restaurants as you can before you graduate. In order to help make that a little easier check out this list of the "Top 10 restaurants and diners in Nashville": http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2013/aug/17/top-10-nashville-restaurants-diners

I hope you grow to love the food in Nashville just as much as I do! Feel free to comment below with your favorite restaurants in Nashville.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
