In high school I was privileged to play on my high schools varsity softball team all four years. I could play all over the field, but my passion stuck as the starting left fielder. Looking back on high school softball I think of the many different things that I miss, the rush of adrenaline I got while up at the plate, or the excitement when a ball was cranked to the outfield. I will always have a passion for softball and will continue to miss it but here is exactly why I miss the game of softball.
I miss--
1. The feeling of making a great play.
2. Traveling to away games.
3. My fellow outfielders.
4. Walk up songs...(300 Violin Orchestra)
5. Cranking the ball to the outfield.
6. My Mom and Dad coming to every game.
7. My teammates.
8. The bond me and my dad had over discussing softball.
9. Winning.
10. The smell of the freshly cut grass.
11. Games against rivals.
12. The newspaper write ups.
"North Andover freshman Sarah Lemerise, in her first start of the season in the infield, was 2 for 2 with three RBIs and two runs scored as the Knights blanked Presentation of Mary 10-0.Candace Waldie was 3 for 4 with four RBIS."
