Working out doesn’t have to be miserable. The typical workouts include running outside, lifting weights or using the treadmill or elliptical in the gym, but those aren’t your only options. Make getting fit fun so that you’ll actually stick to it.
Rollerblading.Sure, you probably haven’t rollerbladed in years, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still just as fun! Find that old pair of rollerblades that you haven’t worn since 6th grade, get a group of friends together, and have the time of your life. (What a fun way to burn about 800 calories per hour)
Sky Zone. Sky High. Or Jumping on Any Trampoline.
Jumping is one of the best workouts.
Just be careful if you go to a place like Sky
Zone…especially if you’re injury prone, as am I.
You feel so determined to make it all the way while hiking that you’re bound to get in an amazing workout. The way up can
sometimes be a struggle, but making it to the top is such an invigorating
feeling.
Get a group together to play soccer on your local school’s field or ultimate Frisbee in the park. No matter what sport you choose, you can have fun with friends and get in a workout without even noticing. Try joining an intramural team.
Geocaching
Pretty much a treasure hunt. Use a GPS or an app on your phone to find a "hidden treasure". It may sound nerdy and not very fun, but it's a great time if you do it with the right people.
Kick the Can. (Or other childhood games)
Childhood games outside are the best. Try hide and seek, tag, capture the flag, or any other fun game. If you don’t know what the game kick the can is, I highly suggest looking it up here (http://www.wikihow.com/Play-Kick-the-Can) and playing. It was my favorite game to play with my neighborhood friends when I was little.
The most fun way to workout. Get a group of girls together, go to a club, frat party or just in your room at home and dance the night away. You won’t even notice that you’re working out, but I promise you, your legs will thank you in the morning.
There are so many fun ways to workout that aren't as monotonous as running or using the elliptical. Try one of these or come up with some of your own. You'll thank yourself.
