Is Donald Trump Adolf Hitler Reincarnated?

Reading this title, you may be thinking that this a joke, and I really just despise Donald Trump. Although I truly despise the man, the comparison to Adolf Hitler is quite serious, and terrifying to think about. So you might be asking, what could have Trump possibly done to be compared to one of the most evil men in history?

Recently, Donald Trump has suggested that all Muslims be identified, put into some sort of database, and be required to carry an ID showing their religious beliefs.

What? Anybody remember from their history classes that the Jewish were required to wear a yellow badge identifying their religion? Are we in Nazi Germany?

This is truthfully quite a personal topic for me. My family is of Jewish descent, and many of my relatives died in Nazi Germany. And my fear is that something similar could happen to another religious group in our country.

It is also important to mention that Trump's ex-wife Ivana told her lawyer that Trump kept Hitler's book "My New Order" on his bedside table and read it occasionally. This doesn't necessarily mean Trump has anti-semitic beliefs or believes in complete dictatorship, but why else would he be reading this book?

With Trump's views and ISIS threat, people are becoming increasing afraid of Muslims as a group.

The fear towards Jews in Nazi Germany was misdirected, and the fear toward Muslims in the United States is misdirected. Let me say it one more time: The fear toward Muslims is misdirected. There are so many extremist groups in all religions. Most of these groups are barely recognizable when compared to the religion they originated from. A great example of this is the KKK, whose leader has come out and said they are Christian-based. We can all agree the KKK is absolutely terrifying, but also that it has none of the values that Christians hold true. The same applies to groups like Al Queda and ISIS.

Trump is simply a racist. He calls Mexicans rapists, and he thinks all Muslims are terrorists. Generalizing a whole group of people in this way is ridiculous, and instills fear into people who aren't smart enough to come up with rational opinions. Stopping Trump from having any political power, and, of course, stop him from being president, should be our top priority.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
