November 13th, 2015 as well as dates leading up to it has left the world in chaos. From the struggle for racial equality in Mizzou to the terrorist attacks in Paris and the war torn nation of Syria, people are rising against one another with malicious intent. The lack of tolerance towards one another or consideration for the lives of other individuals is appalling. When will it be enough? When will the violence and the devastation be enough that people realize this is not the way to deal with problems?
For someone to believe they have the power to limit the rights or life of another human being is undeniably unproductive to society.
The inability for people to coexist in a peaceful manner out of fear or hate is something that has occurred since the beginning of time; however, in a world where heavy artillery, bombs, and dangerous biochemical warfare is available, complete destruction is inevitable if we continue along this treacherous path. Tolerance for one another and respect of each others' rights is not a hard concept to grasp. We are all people, we are all human beings living lives, and although these lives are incredibly different they encompass similar emotional and mental experiences-- we are the same.
Violence has never established change, it has only perpetuated and lengthened suffering. Spending time killing people or targeting those who are not like you for the sole purpose that they are different is not only an act against them, but it is an act against yourself too.
Utilizing time for learning and obtaining education on the lack of justice or rights for individuals, in a way that would allow one to propose peaceful and stable changes, instead of releasing and acting on anger towards others is the best way to ensure that voices are being heard, and are being heard clearly.
Don't hate someone else for having views that are different from yours or for being different than you, embrace life for being diverse.
