13 Things To Do This Semester In Towson

Spring semester already? As excited as we may be to see our friends and enjoy the freedom of college, getting back into the swing of things can be tough. While the semester starts off rather chilly, there is still plenty to do here to help de-stress from the semester.

1. Hike at Loch Raven or Cromwell

It may be a little chilly in the beginning of the semester, but if you haven't been here this is certainly a place you need to visit before you graduate.

2. Treat yo self at Fenwick Bakery

Yes, it is a bit of a hole in the wall, but they sell some of the best pastries for an extremely low price. We all deserve to treat ourselves every now and then, and this place most certainly won't break the bank.

3. Artscape

We all know Baltimore has plenty to offer and Artscape is just one of the many things going on downtown this year.

4. Opening Day

It doesn't have to be opening day, but grab some friends and take the light rail down to Camden Yards to enjoy a game!

5. Go to the Towsontown Festival

You're probably going uptown anyway, may as well check out the spring festival.

6. Tigerfest

7. The Big Event

Give back to the Towson Community with a day of service!

8. Relay for Life

Grab a group of friends to participate in a 12-hour fundraiser full of entertainment and amazing activities.

9. Visit Annapolis

10. Take a day trip

This bus will pick you up at White Marsh and take you anywhere from New York to Tennessee.

11. Explore White Marsh

12. Grab brunch as Miss Shirley's

13. Go to Uncle Wiggly's

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
