10 Signs He Is Just Not That Into You

We all know the feeling when you really like someone but then it just doesn't work out again, and for the same exact reasons as the last time. I have learned how to stop this from happening before feelings get involved and you end up sad and disappointed again for the millionth time.

1. He only texts you after midnight asking to “hangout."

This is pretty self-explanatory. We all know what those midnight texts really mean, but when you start to like someone, you forget what is really happening and mistake a booty call for a guy who actually wants to spend time with you.

2. He never wants to do anything out in public.

This is a problem I personally deal with. I settle for never being taken out because this is what society says is normal. But it is NOT. If a boy is actually into you and for the right reasons, he will want to take you out and spoil you. Do not settle.

3. He always wants to drink with you.

I wonder why. Alcohol tends to lead to things that you will regret later. If he isn't getting any while you are sober, do not go out and drink with him. There is only one thing he is looking for and it is not worth giving up. Drinking together is something fun to do when you are confident that he is a keeper, but not in the early stages of getting to know someone. You do not want to be with someone that needs to be drunk around you in order to feel comfortable.

4. He won't text you for multiple days, but then suddenly acts interested again.

You can easily get the wrong impression by this and think that they are trying to play hard to get. But really he found someone new to talk to, and you have become the second option. If a guy is actually into you, he will want to talk to you as much as he can.

5. His Facebook and Instagram are flooded with pictures of him with other girls.

A new girl every week is not a good sign.Don't just think, oh maybe he has a lot of good girl friends. Maybe a few are, but if he is going to a different sorority's function every week, he most likely isn't looking to settle down with anyone.

6. If your friends say he is bad news, he is bad news. Listen to them.

I have made this mistake countless times. If your friends know who he is and know that he has a bad reputation, do not think that you will be the one to change him. I personally have this issue because I want to fix the bad boy, but I have learned that it just isn't going to happen. Listen to your friends, they are normally right.

7. He will openly talk about other girls while he's with you.

This is not and never will be appropriate. If a guy openly talks about how hot your best friend is or any girl in general, this is not okay. I would never talk about how hot I think a boy is in front of someone I am remotly interested in. It is just rude and brings down your own confidence, when a boy who is actually interested in you should make you feel like you are the only girl in the world.

8. Everything is on his terms.

You never make any plans, and if you try to, he is busy. Or if you try to plan a date he will be busy and ask if you could "hangout" later. This is a sign that he has no interest in actually spending time with you. No matter how busy someone is, if they care about you, they will fit time in their schedule for you. He just wants you when he needs something and you should never settle for a boy like this.

9. He actively uses Tinder.

We all know what Tinder is. It can be a lot of fun, but I never take it seriously. If he actively uses it and takes it seriously, there is a serious problem. He is actively looking for the newest piece of ass he can get his hands on. He is obviously not looking for anything serious.

10. He never asks you, “How was your day?"

A boy who is genuinely interested in you will check in and ask how you are doing. If he never checks in on your personal life, then he really does't care about it.

We all make mistakes and we learn from them. These jerks are just making us stronger. Don't be too upset when it doesn't work out. What is meant to be will find its way, and do not forget that you deserve the world, despite what any guy will make you believe.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
