18 Symptoms Of Early Onset Christmas Disorder

Now that Halloween is over, our brains are scientifically proven to fast forward all the way to Christmas. For some, this becomes a serious problem. Here are the symptoms that you are falling ill to the most costly of seasonal diseases: Early Onset Christmas Disorder.

1. You start hearing Christmas music everywhere you go. Are they really playing "All I Want For Christmas Is You" in this Kroger right now? Time to sing along.

2. Christmas decor sneaks its way into your shopping cart while you're meandering around Target.

3. You start watching Christmas movies the first day of November.

4. You begin to have unseasonal cravings.

You long for Peppermint Mocha season when it's still Pumpkin Spice season. You have your heart set on gingerbread and candy canes, but it's not yet the time for such delicacies.

5. You make Christmas cookies and it's a week after Halloween. It was a moment of weakness.

6. You completely forget that there is in fact a holiday between Halloween and Christmas.

7. You long for those Christmas vacation lazy days with TV, naps, and hot chocolate.

8. You daydream too often about Christmas morning and can almost see the lights, presents, and tree right in front of you.

9. You develop a fever. A Holiday Fever.

10. The fact that you can't put your Christmas tree up because it's "too early" makes you irrationally annoyed.

11. You become dissatisfied with all of the "non-Christmas" clothing in your wardrobe.

It's just not doing it for you anymore. Your Christmas sweaters and ornament ball earrings are calling out to you.

12. Your Pinterest board overflows with all things Christmas.

13. You begin to show hoarding tendencies.

The hidden stockpile in your closet is growing with all your newly purchased Christmas candles, decorations, CDs, and more.

14. You experience a drastic increase in your online shopping addiction. Everything. Is. On. Sale.

15. You lash out irrationally at those who are not in the Christmas spirit by calling them a "Grinch."

16. Every time it rains you have the illogical hope that it will snow. Even when it's 60 degrees outside.

17. You don't dare step foot into a Hobby Lobby. You know your triggers.

18. You write an entire article about Christmas the day after Halloween.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
