11 Crafts To Make For Your Formal Date

It's formal season and sorority girls love to craft for their date. Whether it be the typical cooler or just something homemade in the kitchen, the "thank you" gifts are getting more and more creative.

1. Cooler

This is the original idea for going to a fraternity formal. You must dedicate a lot of time when making a cooler. The sanding, priming, tracing, painting and sealing can take many days.

2. Flask

This idea is a little more simple. You still have to follow the same steps as a cooler but it is on a smaller scale and doesn't take as much time.

3. Coasters

This gift is crafty and one of the cheapest. The supplies are: tiles, beer cardboard holders, mod podge, scissors and hi-gloss sealant. The tiles are only 16 cents at any hardware store. You can also enjoy the six pack of beer while crafting.

4. Beer Cap Picture

This craft takes a lot of planning if you're trying to make a special design. Once you have collected the caps, mod podge them to the back of the picture frame and let it dry.

5. Beer Cap Picture Frame

This is similar to the beer cap picture but takes less time. Instead of filling the actual picture with caps, you just fill the outside frame.

6. Canvas

Any date would love a hand painted canvas of their favorite sports team, beer or favorite saying. All you need is an idea, tracing paper, and paint.

7. Cookies or any dessert

Baking is crafting right? Everyone loves something sweet and homemade in the kitchen.

8. Bubba Keg

What is better than having your own 52 oz. personal drink? A bubba keg is a perfect small craft that is less work than a cooler but still gives the personal touch.

9. Shot Ski

These are fun and different but a little bit of work. This gift is great for your date that they can share with their friends. It will make them the life of the party.

10. Date Night Trip

Organizing a weekend away is crafty. Whether its a nice hotel on the beach, kayaking, bowling, or something extravagant like a helicopter ride, your date will never expect it.

11. Beer Pong Table

This may be the most time consuming gift, but your date will love it. You must make sure that you seal it together well because beer pong can get messy.
