You may not have heard the name Troye Sivan, but he is someone you should look into. Troye was born in South Africa, then moved to Australia, where he has been living for his entire life. Troye became increasingly popular by posting videos on his YouTube channel. This is also where Troye posted videos of himself singing, gaining popularity through them as well. Troye also played a part in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Troye, being openly gay, speaks out about LGBTQ issues when they come to his attention. One of his most popular videos on his YouTube, was his coming out video. If you continue reading, I believe you will be interested in keeping up with Troye Sivan.

Troye began his singing career initially in 2006 and competed in a few singing competitions. He was signed to EMI Australia in June 2013 and released his EP "TRXYE" in August 2014. His song "Happy Little Pill" peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. His next EP, "Wild," was released in September 2015. Between September and October 2015, Troye released a video trilogy, with each containing a connected story, to the songs from his forthcoming album, "Blue Neighborhood," which was released in December 2015.

YouTube is originally what skyrocketed Troye into the spotlight. He created and began posting videos of him singing in 2007. It wasn't until September 2012 when Troye began posting video blogs of different topics. As of October 2015, Troye accumulated 3.6 million subscribers. It was here that Troye posted his coming out video, and began speaking out and supporting those in similar situations as he was, hiding the fact that they were gay.

Not only is he a internationally known performer, he is making waves by speaking out on important issues close to his heart. Ever since coming out, Troye has been an advocate for LGBT rights. He has also been the support for his fans that are gay and not sure how to cope with telling their friends and family.

At a recent concert, Troye even helped a fan come out to her mom, who was also in the crowd. When the fan handed Troye a note from the crowd, he read it for the entire crowd to hear. When the mother and daughter reunited after the concert had ended, the mother had nothing but love the her brave daughter.

When I heard about this story, I couldn't believe the support for this girl. Not only from Troye's fans, but from individuals that have no idea who Troye is!

With all of these factors, you can see how much influence Troye has on the music industry. Personally, I was able to met Troye in March 2016, and I can tell you that he is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I also got to see one of the shows on his "Blue Neighborhood" tour. I've been to over 50 shows, and he was by far the best one I've been to. The way that Troye preforms, you can tell that he is 110 percent dedicated to what he was performing. He puts his whole heart and soul into his craft, and it shows! I highly recommend anyone to look into Troye and listen to his music!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
