15 Quotes To End 2015 Strong

2015 is almost at its end, with another chapter of our lives closing as the 2016 ball drops on New Year's Eve. Whether this year was your best so far, full of great memories and splendid people, or it was one better to be forgotten, with a lot of moments that turned out to be lessons, the new year is a fresh start for everyone. Looking back on the past year, there are always great and positive things that come with each and every year. You could have had the worst heartbreak of your life, or met your soulmate, lost a loved one, or gained a new best friend: no matter what, it will forever be a reminder of 2015. Despite what 2015 brought you, here are fifteen great quotes to end the year on a high note and start off the new one correctly:

  • "A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything." - Irish Proverb

  • No matter what went wrong this year, just know that it isn't permanent! A good chuckle with friends or a nap are great remedies for all that life has to offer.

  • "Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." - Michael Jordan

  • If this year brought you hardships and discouragements, do not let them deeply affect you. Scheming of other ways to overcome obstacles is a great way to end 2015 and a sure way to conquer 2016.

  • "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • As we are all human, every day's tasks can not always be done as planned with random occurrences and distractions undoubtedly taking place. Yet, accepting this fact and using it to motivate you is a great lesson to learn for 2015.

  • “Don't chase people. Be yourself, do your own thing and work hard. The right people - the ones who really belong in your life - will come to your. And stay. Do your thing” – Will Smith

  • If you experienced a rough year in your love life, reminding yourself of this quote at the end of the year is great. Always staying true to who you are is the key in relationships, as the "one" will certainly follow if it is meant to be. Let it happen and force nothing in life, especially love.

  • “Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” —Christopher Robin

  • 2015 may have made you doubt yourself, and that is just plain unacceptable. Never fail to realize how great you are and what you have accomplished, despite everything else.

  • “Don’t settle. Don’t finish crappy books. If you don’t like the menu, leave the restaurant. If you’re not on the right path, get off it.” –Chris Brogan

  • If you realized this year that you are not in love with your major, can not see yourself loving your career, or even hate your current job, why did you not do something about it! End 2015 knowing the path you would like to take and do not be scared to happily skip down that path in 2016.

  • “Never let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.” – Unknown

  • No matter what horrible things happen, despite if it is a monstrosity or a minor detail, keep in mind you are allowed to be sad. However, keep it mind once you cry over it, be sure to build from that and always recognize that it does not define you or your life. Do not let it break you; end 2015 knowing you are strong and persevering.

  • “Do it with passion or not at all.” –Rosa Nouchette Carey

With anything and everything you come be involved in throughout life, love it or leave it. May you conclude 2015 with loving each of your activities in life and conjure up the necessary energy to keep this passion with everything throughout life, especially in 2016.

  • "May your coming year be filled with magic & dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art - write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." - Neil Gaiman

  • Knowing 2015 is basically over, it can be quite discouraging for some who have not accomplished all or any of their set deeds for this year, as they planned. This quote is a wake-up call and my wish for all: you can have a kick-ass year in 2016, if you give it a chance. Never let a previous year ruin the upcoming one, and indulge in all the new year has to offer, because you truly never know.

  • “Don't cry over the past, it's gone. Don't stress about the future, it hasn't arrived. Live in the present and make it beautiful.” –Anonymous

  • With the past 365 days behind us and the never-ending daunting tasks in the coming 365 days, it can be easy to live in both the past and future. Draw 2015 to a close by living and being present in each moment, not so concerned with what happened or may happen.

  • "Don't live the same year 75 times and call it a life." - Robin Sharma

  • This quote is a warning. Yes, it is easy to fall into a routine that is comfortable but no one wants a boring, mundane life. Finish 2015 with a game-plan for 2016: take up knitting or go cliff-jumping in the next year. Setting apart this new year with unforgettable moments will make your year and help to enrich your life overall!

  • "If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives." -Lemony Snicket

  • Just to top off the learned lessons 2015 has brought us all, here is yet another one: there is no better time than now. There is no perfect time for anything in life, despite what you believe. If you have been dying to travel to Hawaii, 2016 is the year to make it happen; do not get into the habit of waiting and letting life pass you by.

  • "The beginning is always today." - Mary Shelley

Everyone is always waiting until Monday or a new year to start something new and stopping this idea in 2015 will help improve your 2016. Why wait until January 1st to set new goals and achievements? Live each day like it is Monday, January 1st. Heck, start each morning with the idea of starting something new and brillant.

  • "Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience." - Paulo Coelho

  • 2015 may bring to mind a few regrets for some of us: a collection of moments where we didn't take chances we should have. The good thing is that changing this in 2016 is easy: just get out there and live! Yes, ask her out on a real date. Yes, try out for that team. Why/What if? Because you will never know if you do not.

  • “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.” – Anonymous

If you didn't have enough time for what you live for in 2015, whether it be writing poetry or drinking Starbucks fraps, be sure to strive towards changing this in the upcoming year. Set aside time to enjoy what you love to do because doing so can only benefit you in the long-run.

Now, with all of that being said, I am sure you all can take these quotes, understand them at the conclusion of 2015, and directly apply them to your lives that will occur in 2016. In doing so, it can only greatly increase your chances of having a killer year, with all of your significant yearly tasks being accomplished happily and with delight. Who says 2016 won't be your best year yet! Only time may tell my dears....

Wishing all my readers a happy new year, full of their highest expectations and more! Welcome 2016!
