I am a coffee addict. That’s probably putting it lightly. I need coffee like I need to breathe; it’s simply a necessity. Starbucks is my second home. I practically live there during finals week. And so, as a self proclaimed coffee expert, here are the five drinks you should try.
1. Iced coffee (with milk and sweetener, duh).
Yes, it is a classic, but you can never go wrong with the classics! Iced coffee (preferably a venti) is literally my saving grace when it comes to essays, or last minute study sessions. It provides just enough caffeine to get you through that study daze.
2. Iced caramel macchiato.
If you like sweet things, this drink is for you. With a shot of espresso, and a drizzle of caramel, the iced caramel macchiato will provide you with a boost and a smile. It’s so delicious, and it has kept me awake through those dreaded 8:30 a.m. classes.
3. Passion tea lemonade.
This drink is decaffeinated, yes, but I swear it is the taste of summer in a cup. The warm magenta color will remind you of warmer days, and soon you’ll be reminiscing about the ocean in the midst of winter.
4. Skinny vanilla latte.
Oh, how I love you a latte (sorry, had to). With sugar free vanilla syrup this drink is low in calories, and high in flavor. It pairs perfectly with a good book and a cozy XL sweater. There’s nothing like a skinny vanilla latte to keep the heart and soul together.
5. Zebra hot chocolate.
OK, so this drink is on the secret menu of Starbucks (yes, that’s totally a thing, go check it out) and it’s half white hot chocolate, half regular. In short, it is 100 percent delicious. The zebra hot chocolate is ideal for winter days. Or, if you’re like me, any day of the week.
