It's the Most GIF-able Time of the Year

Christmas time is the best time. There is colder weather, family traditions, Christmas music and other fun things, but in order to get to this wonderful time of the year, we need to go through a few weeks of hell.

It starts out pretty easily with you making to-do lists because teachers are starting to pile so much work to get those last few points in.

So then you start working on it, because we are obviously not feeling stress yet.

And then you realize how close Thanksgiving is and you need to pick up the pace if you want to enjoy your break without other responsibilities looming over you.

Even though you do some good work, you still have a huge to-do list that doesn't ever seem to end. Then you are able to relax and not think about what you have to do over Thanksgiving break (A.K.A. procrastination).

Before you realize it, you haven't made a dent in what is actually due!

Then you feel scared that you won't ever feel happy with all of this panic you are feeling. In order to get some sympathy, love or just to talk to someone that is not your study buddy you call Mom/Dad/Grandma/Grandpa (whoever helps you through the tough times).

And after you hang up, you feel a little better, but then you still have a mountain of work stacked on your desk.

Cue the all-nighters and the this-is-worse-than-dying feeling.

Then the tears...

And other emotions...

And (if 21 or over) the wine nights to just get through...

And then finals hits...

But after all of the crying, screaming, thoughts of drop-out and any other horrible aspect of college. You survive. And then you are home free!!

And then you can get started on the to-do list you actually want to do:

Until next semester when this all happens again...

Until then, students, good luck, and may the curve be ever in your favor!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
