You Know You're A Jackrabbit If...

When you go to a university, everyone usually experiences some similar things. Here is a list of 27 things that most Jackrabbits are accustomed to, because you know you're a Jackrabbit if...

1. You have a rivalry with USD, even though we usually beat them at everything.

2. You try to avoid the "blue plague" as much as possible.

3. You only know where Larson Commons is because of "Taco Tuesday!"

4. You fear for your life when you hear a bike zipping through heavy traffic.

5. The thought of walking to class on a cold winter's day makes you want to crawl back into bed.

6. You know the joke, "Why is Brookings so windy?" "Because NDSU blows and USD sucks!"

7. You see people roping a plastic bull and it's considered normal.

8. You know that we are the REAL SDSU and you inherently roll your eyes when someone asks if you are from San Diego.

9. You know that Hobo Day is not just a day. The pre-game starts the first day of classes, slows down in the beginning of October, picks up the week before and then BAM! It's Hobo Day and you can't find the football stadium.

10. You have ever had a teacher give you extra credit for coming to class when its snowing, Hobo Week, or if it's a nice day.

11. You are one of the two types of people while walking down main street in the union: You either acknowledge the people tabling and take the fliers, or you put your head down and walk through as fast as you can.

12. You are proud of the fact that we invented cookies and cream ice cream, and you want everyone to know it.

13.You have climbed the campanile or plan on climbing it in the near future.

14. You know that the walk to the animal science building is a horror no matter the weather.

15. You know that Sam Smith is not a red head from Europe, but a guy who frequents Rotunda D.

16. You know that THIS will be the year that we beat NDSU (and you say that every year)!

17. You constantly hear "Pac phase II" and laugh about its inconceivable appearance.

18.You have experienced the "huge" lecture hall, Rotunda D.

19. You agree that when the temperature gets above 45 degrees it's shorts and sandals weather.

20.You are more excited for "Miss Homelycoming" than for "Miss SDSU."

21. No matter what direction you walk on campus the wind is always blowing in your face.

22. You don't even think about doing your hair because between the wind, rain, snow, hail and small tornadoes, something will inevitably mess up anything you've done!

23. You have experienced an intense game of grocery bingo.

24. You don't have to wait in the long noodles line now thanks to Tapingo!

25. You know that when the residence halls start to smell like livestock that it's time for Little 'I.'

26. Your mom loves that you go here because we are the safest campus in America.

27. You love it here because even though we all have our differences we can agree on one thing... it's the end of this article.. And USD still sucks! Go Jacks!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
