Halloween is over and Thanksgiving isn't quite here yet. It's an uneventful week and you can't escape that "I got a rock" feeling for the time being.
You thought your school work would disappear after midterms week, but instead it has multiplied every week since and it's really bringing you down.
Your roommates consider you MIA because you don't have time, energy, or both to participate in roomie hang outs. When you do come out of hiding, your attention is given sparingly due to incessant typing on your laptop in an effort to multitask.
Your answer to every "How are you?" "What's up?" greeting is the same. The person asking probably catches you while you're thinking about all of the work you need to do and when you'll actually get around to doing it. Or about all of the money you don't have. Usually both.
Then you remember a break is coming up – a break involving more food than you can even dream of eating during the weeks you spend at school deprived of a substantial diet.
Nothing will stand in between you and getting home as soon as possible after your last class ends.
Thanksgiving day will be a time for celebration with family and friends.
...but soon after you'll be forced to go back to school for finals.
And then you'll remember December brings the Christmas season!
