Only guys can be into sports, right?

I grew up loving sports, and that's all thanks to my dad. Even though loving sports and having and abundance of sports knowledge does come with its perks, it also comes with a few problems.

1. People think I am watching the game to impress a boy.

Okay, first of all it is true that I believe my knowledge on the defensive strategies of the New England Patriots will land me a husband someday. But, that is not the reason I know it. I know it because it interests me. Surprising, right?

2. Your non-sports watching friends do not understand the importance of this game.

Ryan Gosling is at the bar shirtless right now? Yeah, sorry, it's game seven. I can't go. (Ryan gets it.)

3. Guys try to undermine your credibility by quizzing you on your favorite team

Take that bullsh*t elsewhere.

4. The only television character you have ever really felt a spiritual connection with is Jenny from "The League."

You go Jenny, I strive to be you every minute of every day.

5. People think you like sports because you're attracted to the players.

Like, obviously, I'd marry Sidney Crosby and have his athletically inclined babies, I'm not blind. But I have more important things to think about, such as how we are going to kill this penalty.

6. Not having anyone to celebrate with when you team does something good.

It really is the ultimate struggle when you're so excited about something, in this case your team making the playoffs, but no one you live with cares. So you end up feeling like Tom Brady.

7. Everyone assumes you don't understand what is going on so they try to explain it to you as if you are in kindergarten.

Really?

8. You get judged for celebrating in an "unladylike" manner

9. Being forced to pick from a horrid selection of pink or rhinestone team apparel

For some reason, the sports apparel industry thinks this is okay. Please share to spread awareness of this tragedy that is sweeping the nation.

10. Not knowing what to do once your team is done for the season.

This is possibly the most difficult concept we are forced to grasp. Yes, gentlemen, we sports ladies face post-season depression as well.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
