I've had a shopping problem since I was really young. I loved going anywhere if it meant that I got to push a cart or even carry a bunch of things around. It's weird, but I even got excited when it was time to go food shopping, and not just for the giant jar of Nutella.
In my years of swiping cards and browsing sale racks, it has been brought to my attention by literally everyone that I have a problem. A major shopping problem. Here's a list of ten things that can lead to your diagnosis of being a fellow shopaholic.
1. Instead of talking your problems out, you swipe your credit cards.
2. This is your reaction whenever there is a sale:
3. You buy things you don't even need to buy, simply for the sake of buying.
4. You walk into a store with one thing in mind and leave with about five bags.
5. You have bookmark after bookmark saved on your laptop from your favorite online stores.
6. Your closet is way too small. Like seriously too small.
7. You get a rush from buying something new, even if it's just a replacement buy for something you already have.
8. When shopping for other people, you end up shopping for yourself as well.
9. Shop 'til you drop is taken to the extreme.
10. Your face every time you look at your bank account statement:
Congratulations! If you have done some or all of these things, I'm proud to announce that you're a shopaholic! Now try not to flaunt it before your family and friends send you through an intervention.
