Breakfast, lunch, and dinner: the three meals society has given us to eat everyday. However, what about the elusive Sunday Brunch. It seems that we are allowed to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday, but brunch is only allowed on Sundays. This a travesty for the stomachs and hearts of people across the globe. It is time for brunch to be a generally accepted meal, and not just a weekend treat.
Brunch is great because it combines the importance of breakfast with the camaraderie of lunch. With brunch you are able to order a nutritious and balanced breakfast meal but enjoy it in a more social setting.
Brunch eliminates the crack-of-dawn breakfast blues. Waking up early is never fun, but then waking up early to eat just puts a damper on a delicious meal. By replacing an early breakfast for a slightly later brunch, you can eliminate both of these issues. A 10:30 a.m. brunch is perfect because you can catch a few extra Z's and be happy to eat a delicious meal.
Brunch also is great because it is not a locked in menu of specified foods. Often times at lunch you will get a funny look or simply will not be able to order eggs, and at breakfast, it is nearly impossible to order a side of french fries. With brunch you can order both, and it is totally acceptable.
For the 21-and-older crowd brunch is also an excuse to indulge in a delicious adult beverage. It isn't the time to order a round of tequila shots; however, a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice with a splash of champagne is a delicious brunch cocktail.
Brunch is an overall great meal, and truly the only meal you will ever need. It allows for a great menu and awesome excuse to visit with friends. #brunchisbest
