College is a giant Barbie Dream House with every type of Barbie you could ever imagine. You know you can put a face and name to some, if not all, of these Barbies.

1. Workout Barbie

This Barbie doesn't get those long, skinny legs and seemingly unattainable waistline by lying in bed and watching Netflix all day.

2. Hot Mess Barbie

On Friday mornings, she crawls into class with her trademark Sharpie smeared across her face from sleeping on her hands with the club stamps from the night before. Her walk of shame doesn't even need a walk.

3. Athletic Barbie

Not to be confused with Workout Barbie, this Barbie isn't just about the gym. She loves all things sports. Athletic Barbie can be found wearing workout clothes to class, and actually going to the gym after class.

4. World Traveler Barbie

This country hopper's profile picture is of her sipping wine near the Eiffel Tower or scuba diving in Mexico.

5. Party Hard Barbie

Come on Barbie, let's go party! This Barbie is often found stumbling around or hungover in class.

6. Sorority Barbie

Sorority Barbie loves her sisters and has, like, the best big EVER. You'll find her bragging about her sisters while sporting her letter shirt and sipping from her sorority-themed tumbler.

7. Man-Eater Barbie

You can brush her hair, undress her anywhere. You can hardly keep up with her love life. If the men are in it for love, they're not going to get too far. She chews them up and spits them out, hungry for more.

8. Dancer Barbie

She has grace and poise and probably dances on a team. She even out-dances the seasoned partiers at frat parties.

9. Party Dancer Barbie

This Barbie knows how to drop it low at clubs and lodges. Once she has a couple drinks down, she's Miley Cyrus in her mind.

10. Socialite Barbie

This Barbie knows where the action is. Which party will she bless with her presence? Probably all of them because she has friends everywhere and can make new ones everywhere she goes.

11. Slacker Barbie

Sometimes she doesn't even come to class, and when she does, she rarely has her homework completed.

12. School Barbie

Come on Barbie, let's go study. School Barbie takes classes seriously. If she ever does go out, it's after she has finished all of her work.

13. Relationship Barbie

If you're her friend, her relationship is yours too. If you invite her somewhere, plan on a ménage a trois with Ken.

14. Political Barbie

Political Barbie isn't afraid to share her stance on controversial issues. Her childhood dream was to be the first female President.

15. Doctor Barbie

Doctor Barbie often complains about her 4-7 labs and taking the MCAT. You know she'll make a great doctor someday, and you consult with her on all things medical.

We're just a bunch of Barbie girls in our college world. Which one are you?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
