Movie Goers Unite

I love going to the movie theaters. There's something about sitting in the theater with your bucket of popcorn watching a new movie on the big screen.

Movie Goers Unite

Good movies always come out in the fall and into winter. There are movies premiering around Halloween, and I love scary movies. "Ouija" and "Annabelle" are just a couple of examples.

"Ouija" is about a girl who dies in a house and her friends who want contact her using a Ouija board. They are then haunted and tormented by ghosts in the house. It comes out Oct. 24.

"Annabelle is about a haunted doll," and it though looks so creepy, I still want to see it. There is a demonic presence in the doll and anyone who has it suffers by the demon. It came out on Sept. 29.

"The Equalizer" came out Sept. 26. I have just recently seen this movie and it was great, but then again, anything with Denzel Washington is great. It's about a former black ops operative helping a young girl and taking matters and justice into his own hands.

"Fury" came out Oct. 17 and stars Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf. It is set in World War II times and regards a five-man tank taking on Nazi's in the heart of Germany. All you war and history buffs will love this movie.

"The Best of Me" is a new movie came out Oct. 17 and is a romance movie. It is about two former high school students that were in love and come back together 20 years later.

"Interstellar" is coming out Nov. 7 and stars Matthew McConaughey. It is about saving the planet, McConaughey must go to outer space and find a new world.

"Dumb and Dumber To" is a movie I know everyone will love. It is based off the previous movie but 20 years later as Harry and Lloyd track down one of their kids. Go see it in theaters Nov. 14.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I" premiers Nov. 21. I have seen the previous Hunger Games movies and can't wait to see how this one turns out.

"Horrible Bosses 2" comes out Nov. 26; hopefully it will be as good as the first one. I like all the actors in this movie, it will definitely be hilarious.

"The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies" will be a great movie! If you haven't already seen the first two Hobbit movies, go see them now. I personally cannot wait to go see this movie which comes out Dec. 17.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
