Next Up: Jimmy Garoppolo

Well, it’s official. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has announced that the league will uphold New England Patriots starting quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension. Brady will miss the first four games of the 2015 season due to his participation in “Deflategate.” Despite all the facts presented, there are still doubts that Brady really was a part of the scandal. The fact that his cell phone was destroyed made league officials feel that he must have had something to do with it. Therefore, Goodell and the NFL felt the need to take action again Brady.

With Brady out, there is a void to fill at the starting QB position. Insert Jimmy Garoppolo. He is expected to start for the Patriots while Brady is suspended.

The Patriots are the reigning Super Bowl Champions. Garoppolo has some big shoes to fill, however Patriots fans are going to have to trust his abilities on the field.

Garoppolo attended Eastern Illinois University until he was drafted in 2014.

The Patriots drafted him with the 62nd overall pick. Some were shocked to see the Patriots pick a quarterback in the second round. Brady isn’t getting any younger. The Patriots thought in the long-term with picking up Garoppolo. When Brady is no longer in the picture, the Pats are going to need another “Brady” to lead the team. Garoppolo seemed like a great option at the time, hence the second round draft pick.

Last season, as a rookie, Garoppolo played in six games. Although Garoppolo only got in when the games were pretty much a solid win, he still produced some touchdowns. He shows a lot of promise to lead the offense to scoring points.

He is super good-looking. For anyone missing Brady’s fine features, Garoppolo is easy on the eyes. I promise. His perfect smile will have you crushing real hard. Check out some pictures of this stud.

He’s a Super Bowl champion. After only one season in the NFL, Garoppolo got the ring that every player dreams of receiving one day. He was apart of a championship team, which many players don’t get the honor of being a part of.

Fans may have their doubts, but they will just have to watch and see what he can do. The Patriots are coming off a Super Bowl run. Just because Brady will be absent for the first four games, doesn’t mean the Pats are in trouble. There are 52 other players on the active roster. Although the absence of the starting quarterback is worrisome, Garoppolo has a lot of talent. Garoppolo is entering his second season in the league with a team that has a reputation for winning. Coach Bill Belichick knows the game. With Belichick on Garoppolo’s side, the Patriots will be fine during Brady’s suspension. He can absolutely lead this team since he’s been learning from the best. The 2015 will be an interesting one and fans should be eager to watch.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
