7 Spring Break Diets

Now don't get me wrong, who doesn't want a body like that? But in reality, those girls we see all over social media and pin onto our fitness goals board are blessed. To achieve even the slightest bit of similarity is a lot of work. These aren't miracle plans, they are just plans that will help you get rid of all that bloating the weekend blessed you with. In college it's hard to stay in shape, so here are some plans that may help you get that beach body before you head out for spring break.

1. The well known juice cleanse.

Cranberry cocktail, grape juice, probably put a hold on the green juices because the more sugar the better. Apple juice has one of the highest sugar amounts of all. All that sugar will give you the energy you need to get through the day.

2. Chipotle diet.

Because guac has avocados and avocados are a superfood, right? Load on the sour cream and cheese to add some extra protein and calcium. Don't forget to change it up from a bowl to a burrito, and if you really need to watch your weight, order the Quesarito.

3. Soup detox.

This is the newest of the detox rages almost surpassing the juice detox. Head over to Panera and get a large broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl or even a big bowl of creamy tomato with a grilled cheese.

4. The Tuscan diet.

There are multiple studies that have come out and said that a glass of red wine every day has multiple health benefits. If the doctor says so, then why not fill up your day with a few glasses, or even bottles? To finish off the Italian style meal plan, pair your wine with a large helping of various cheeses.

5. Frozen yogurt meal plan.

Yogurt is yogurt, therefore it is all healthy. The most important part is the toppings. Add on some of the available fruits, but the real fat burners are the brownie bites and gummy bears.

6. Clean Eating. Carbs and cheese.

Pizza, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, or mozzarella sticks. Pick one per meal to rid your body of all its toxins. You can even create a combination of two with mac and cheese grilled cheese, or a pizza with stuffed crust.

7. Cake challenge.

This one is a game-based diet, so play the song "Birthday Cake" by Rihanna during every meal. Every time she says the word cake, take a nice fork full of your favorite cake coated in icing.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
