There's always that one friend. I'm willing to bet all $3.67 left to my name that everyone has, at one point or another, been the dreaded third-wheel.
More often than not, it's awkward, uncomfortable, etc. Especially when the couple forgets there's another person in the vicinity.
As an experienced third-wheeler, I know my siblings, cousins, friends, unintentionally (or maybe intentionally) made the "silence" a little uneasy.
"OMG. You two are just the cutest."
"I want something like that! SO, where you at??"
"OK, it's getting a little awkward here."
"God. Do I want to even know what's going on up there??"
"It went from zero to painfully awkward real fast."
"Thanks for the friendly reminder I'm still single."
"You are not going to start crying."
"The first tears are escaping!!!"
"QUICK! Think cute animals!!"
"Um, guys, remember I'm still here."
"I think I'll get myself a tub of Ben and Jerry's."
"You need anything? Protection, maybe?"
"Three really is a crowd."
*Can you take a picture?* "That's cool...I guess." *Sure, be happy too!*
"I can't believe I thought this wouldn't be this weird."
What a time to be alive...right?
