28 Signs You Went To Interlochen Arts Academy

1. Getting accepted was one of the happiest days of your life.

2. You tried to get away with not wearing your uniform... and you usually got away with it.

3. You constantly doubted your artistic abilities...

4. ...and were constantly amazed by all your disgustingly talented friends.

5. You had to get creative with your hookup spots.

"Meet me in the organ building after your oboe lesson."

6. You still crave the MoFro's cheesy garlic bread.

7. ...and the cookie sandwiches!

8. You've braved the frigid tundra known as "Winterlochen."

The Bear is all of us.

9. You had some of the most passionate and talented teachers in the world.

10. ...and you cried in front of at least three of them.

11. You wanted to live in DeRoy.

Curse you, MPA majors and fourth-years! #stillbitter.

12. You complained about the Stone food.

13. You peed on the Bear, or at least *debated* peeing on the Bear.

Josh Groban? Totally peed on the Bear.

14. You ordered Bud's on the reg.

15. You are all too familiar with the struggle that is trying to fly in and out of Cherry Capital Airport during winter.

Your flight's leaving on time? Jokes.

16. You know Rotundances are far superior to the dances held in the Fine Arts building.

17. College application season was the most stressful time ever...

18. ...but it turned out pretty OK, regardless if you ended up going to a college or pursuing an alternative route.

19. You did your grocery shopping at Tom's.

#neverforget

20. You always came back to campus with a different hairstyle and/or color after breaks.

21. You get serious FOMO when you see pictures from Inty reunions that you can't make it to.

22. You busted out your shorts as soon as it hit 40 degrees.

23. You know Morp > Prom.

24. You staged a #YOLO moment for when you accepted your diploma.

25. You're friends with some of the most gifted artists from around the world.

26. You sometimes fear that you've already lived the best years of your life at Inty.

27. When you see a fellow Interlochener outside of Interlochen, you treat them like family, because -- let's be real -- they basically are.

28. You wouldn't trade your time at Interlochen for the world.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
