1. The big's begin rejoicing on social media, marking the start of this tension-filled week.

But just who is this most perfect little you've got yourself? Could it be me? Am I worth five exclamation points and eight emojis?!

2. You must decode the mystery messages and answer questions about yourself.

Are all these facts really relevant? How are you going to turn my favorite early 2000/s song, the color purple, puppies, and twizzlers into one cohesive present??

3. Girls can't or won't calm down, and start guessing among themselves (and 2nd guessing, and 3rd guessing).

Big/Little week hasn't even technically started! Everyone needs to chill because I'm so confused at where all this inside information is coming from. Are we seriously about to close-read Facebook messages right now, because, wait, if we are, I'm so in...MUST FIGURE IT OUT.

4. Round one of presents happens with a bang, with girls scrambling to find their pile.

A big pink bang that has your head spinning because how can one girl craft so much? How many splinters did your big get painting these little wooden letters? (Note: see which girl has ban-aids on her finger tips.) You're starting to seriously feel the love.

5. You're absolutely feeling the love!

It's all around you in giant hearts and bags of candy and family traditions that couldn't be cuter. Whoever your big is, you know she loves you to pieces, and you feel the same. There's enough warm and mushy feelings to almost make you stop guessing. Almost.

6. Running into potential bigs becomes a tension-filled ordeal that's nearly laughable, with you trying to pick up on imaginary hints.

Yeah, this shirt is from my big! (But didn't you already know that?) Thanks, mhmm, this guessing is so fun (You totally remember how agonizing this was. No fair.) Oh, I totally can't wait for reveal! (What did that eye twitch mean?? Is it you? What does any of it mean?!)

7. Some girls already have a pretty good idea of who their big is, and want to talk about who they think everyone has all the time even though thinking about it this much is driving you crazy.

Shouldn't knowing this be impossible? If you're that good at analyzing those notes, you better be going to work for the FBI or something after graduation. You expect me to believe you didn't have any hints from anyone? Don't worry, I won't say anything...as long as you give me one.

8. You're still totally in the dark, but trying to act like you're totally cool with it all.

You walk in to pick up your next present all smiles on the outside, but internally it's all: I'M ALMOST AT MY BREAKING POINT FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS SORORITY PLEASE LET THIS RIDDLE OF A WEEK BE OVER.

9. But the only reason you're so desperate is because you just want to be able to return the love!

Getting presents and not being able to properly thank the right person without the aspect of anonymity is terrifying for anyone who has childhood memories of writing out birthday party thank-yous for hours on end while your mom addressed the envelopes. I JUST NEED TO HUG THE GIRL WHO SLAVED AWAY AS A FULL-TIME CRAFTER FOR AN ENTIRE WEEKEND SIMPLY TO MAKE ME FEEL LOVED. THAT'S ALL.

10. And when reveal comes, it is a tidal wave of sweet, cool relief.

*Squeals* And in that moment, I swear we were a family. Getting to run into your big's arms and thank her, truly thank her, for all the love she has shown you in this past week is a feeling like no other. There are no scribbled clues to keep you apart now, and from this day on, nothing can ever come between you again!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
