Snow days have always been a childhood dream for most of us. Back in the day, we did the whole spoon under the pillow or leave it by the window, and wear our pants inside out. It was a ritual that every child knew back then, and let's be real and not deny that we haven't thought about doing it once just for extra luck. But as college students, especially when you're snowed inside your dorm, your first snow day can be a roller coaster of great to maybe some crazy moments.

Here are the 10 stages everyone at least experiences once during their first ever college snow day.

1. The excitement sets in that Snow is finally coming into our lives.

For real, though, who doesn't want a snow day? Hot cocoa all day, and no classes. Being able to spend all this time with your roommates/friends. The excitement is surreal, and okay maybe some get a little over excited, but then again no classes.

2. Stocking up on food as if the apocalypse is about to happen.

We all really should start showing our appreciation to Target and Walmart. They're the real M.V.P's. We may not need all of those packets of ramen, but it's the thought that counts.

3. Eating all of the food you bought not even halfway into the storm.

Understandably, you've been stuck inside in this one room with all of the food. It was bound to happen one way or another.

4. Embracing the idea that it's a sweatpants and chill day.

The one day it's completely acceptable to bring out the old sweats. Trust that it will be the trend of the day.

5. Getting together with your friends, and binge watching movies and shows.

When getting altogether, a snow day is the perfect day to catch up or even start a whole series with your buddies. Sleep may be missed out on, but nothing's better than good old Netflix.

6. When playing in the snow seems like a great idea.

The sight of huge snow piles brings back the nostalgia of your childhood, so going outside seems like a dream come true.

7. Remembering how much you hate bundling up, so inside it is once again.

So playing out in the snow probably wasn't the greatest of ideas. You slipped on some ice, you're pretty sure frostbite has set in, and you feel like a big blob of layers. The indoors are welcomed back more than happily.

8. Cabin fever sets in.

No words are needed, we've all been there. When will the snow stop?

9. Obsessively staring out the window to see if the snow stopped.

As if every time we look out the window, the downfall of snow gets lighter.

10. Campus is reopened, classes are on schedule, and the countdown for the next snow day begins.

It was all worth it.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
